Grocery delivery
Our Grocery Delivery Program began during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since become a permanent service thanks to our partnership with DoorDash and their Project DASH initiative. This program aims to eliminate barriers to food access for individuals who are housebound, elderly, disabled, or otherwise unable to visit food pantries.
Participants in this program receive the same food offerings as those from our Pop-Up Pantry (Mobile Grocery Store Bus). Due to the high demand, an application is required to participate. After submitting an application, clients will receive an approval or denial notification. Approved clients are then given a menu of available items, allowing them to choose their groceries. They will also receive a scheduled delivery time and date.
Each week, our dedicated staff and volunteers assemble the grocery boxes based on the clients' selections. Once prepared, DoorDash drivers pick up the boxes and deliver them to the clients, providing text updates throughout the process.

This program is funded by online donations and partially by Project DASH, each year they allow us to apply for a grant and the amount can vary. Additionally we apply for varying grants every year from local foundations to continue supporting this crucial program that often serves those who cannot receive from food pantries.

Our partnership with Doordash allows us to utilize their Dashers to deliver grocery boxes. They take care of logistics, drivers, and communications to our clients. This means we do not take volunteer drivers at this time.

We would love your support to continue this programming. You can give directly online under our "Give Back" tab, you can set up a meeting with Alexia here for items such as assets, wire transfers, family funds, charitable trusts, and more.
Additionally we always can use extra volunteers to help put together each grocery box order, and for individuals and groups to help collect crucial pantry staples.
