We are excited to announce our partnership with Doordash and their Project DASH initiative.

COVID-19 brought a new urgency to the fight against hunger, with almost 1 in 5 people in the United States accessing food banks at some point and an increased need for food assistance among vulnerable populations in particular. 

  • Organizations like ours faced new logistical hurdles, with people staying at home as the rate of food insecurity grew significantly. 

  • Unfortunately, this still shows little sign of abating, and we’ve realized that delivering to our clients isn’t just a pandemic solution. It’s a permanent need. It enables us to better serve our clients who are immunocompromised, face transportation or mobility challenges, and more.

  •  It also increases dignity and convenience, giving time back to families, who may also be working, caring for family, or pursuing an educational credential, for example. 


So how does it work?

Through Project DASH, Doordash utilizes their current operations which includes their mapping, paying a dasher, etc. BUT instead of picking up from a restaurant to deliver food they pick up from our offices and deliver the requested food, clothing, or hygiene items straight to our clients doorstep.

We supply the resources and Doordash supplies the driver and logistics to make it happen.

Clients in need are able to request a delivery via our online application and deliveries are made every week. Each client is able to get a maximum of 10 bags.

Filling out an application does not guarantee a delivery, and we encourage clients to keep an eye out for an e-mail or text confirmation from us.
